Her career as an actress has always been accompanied by her career as a writer, influenced by a strong interest in sociology, which she cultivated in an academic setting with a degree in political science and theories and techniques of cinematographic language.
Her narrative production is characterized by its attention and expressive research on female identity free from stereotypes and the relationship between men and women, as an "expert in the valorization of gender differences", and on themes related to contemporary times.
Author of works in various genres including: the manual "Glass ceiling, beyond the glass ceiling. Female professionalism in Italian cinema." (Ed. Edimond 2009), which won the Equal Opportunities Award for Research (2008) and the Città di Castello Literary Award (2008); the short story "A painter without time" (2004) published in Ascanio Celestini's book "Storie da legare" (Ed. Della Meridiana 2008); the novel "Memorie del cuscino" (Ed. Castelvecchi 2009) which won her the Afrodite Award (2010) for women in cinema and the Livio Paoli Award (2010) for published literature, the manual "Non ci casco più!" (ed. Kowalski-Feltrinelli 2012) immediately in the Feltrinelli bestseller list; the novel "Alice without Wonders" (ed. Pendragon 2016).
In 2010, she was one of five artists selected for communication by Eni, who commissioned her to write the collection of texts "The future belongs to those who imagine it," which was then dramatized at the 2010 Rimini Meeting.
